Ministries

Our UMW/UWIF are involved in multiple ministries. The largest ministry is our Little Free Pantry in which we have multiple volunteers that provide a variety of services each week with ordering & picking up food items and stocking the little pantry. In cooperation with Colinasway Inc. (a Not for Profit organization) & the produce market in Chandler, we are able to provide fresh produce in our pantry. We gladly give a financial donation from our bake sale proceeds to help support this fresh produce.

Our UMW/UWIF also support the “Love In Action” ministry (Henderson County Homeless Day Center) & the “Refuge of Light” (organization providing safe housing for young girls) by offering financial support with proceeds from our monthly bake sale. If a specific need is identified, we also try to help meet that need.

We also support the staff at the Adult Protective Service in Athens TX by donating coffee pods, donuts & rolls and delivering them.

Our UMW/UWIF coordinate an annual Garage Sale every Fall and the proceeds go to support our Little Free Pantry.

Every Thanksgiving we coordinate a church wide collection of food needed to help families with their Thanksgiving meal. In 2024, we were able to help 40 families with their Thanksgiving meal. 2025 will be our 4th year for this ministry.

We like to end our year with food & fellowship at our UMW/UWIF Christmas Party & it is open to all women of the church.
