Alcoholics Anonymous at Lake Palestine UMC
A Welcoming Recovery Community
Lake Palestine UMC is proud to host Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as part of our commitment to serving the whole person and the wider community. Our church provides a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment where individuals can find the support they need on their journey to recovery.
AA is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
You Are Not Alone
Recovery is possible, and you do not have to face it by yourself. Whether you are taking the first step or continuing your journey, there is a seat here for you.

A Word of Encouragement
You Are Welcome Here
Taking the first step toward recovery can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone. Our AA group is a community of people who understand what you are going through because they have been there too.
There is no judgment here, only compassion, understanding, and a shared commitment to supporting one another. Whether this is your first meeting or your thousandth, you belong here.
For Family and Friends
If you're concerned about a loved one's drinking, you can support their recovery while also taking care of yourself. Our Families Anonymous chapter ("THE BRIDGE") meets Mondays at 7 PM and is a Twelve Step program for families and friends.
